The Mountain Biking Centre at Coed Llandegla Forest opened in 2005 and has become one of the most popular mountain bikers in North Wales with over 200,000 visitors a year! Covering 650 hectares, Coed Llandegla Forest is one of the largest privately-owned recreation facilities in North Wales. It is owned and managed by UPM Tilhill.
The forest has mountain biking trails suitable for beginners and family groups, more challenging routes for experienced bikers including a rollercoaster black run, a pump track, skills area and free ride area. All tracks are completely enclosed within the forest, with no main roads to cross.
One of the most prominent features of Coed Llandegla are the well groomed trails. There's still plenty of features but you need to keep your wits about you, as the black especially, is a real speed merchant of a route.
The trails at Coed Llandegla are constantly being developed and maintained. There are a number of optional loops such as 'Parallel Universe' and the popular 'B-Line
' which incorporate steep downhills and a wild series of table top jumps for experienced riders.
