Discover Dyfi
The ‘Dyfi’ has been attracting mountain bikers for years who are drawn to its epic scenery and stunning trails. There’s something for everyone from classic cross country routes, thrilling technical descents to Dan Atherton’s recently opened gravity park. Many of the waymarked trails start from Machynlleth, Wales’ ancient capital.
The Mach trails offer classic cross country mountain bike routes with big countryside and even bigger views. After falling out of fashion they have recently seen a resurgence with the growing popularity of gravel and adventure riding.
The Climachx trail climbs through the Dyfi Forest, home of the Dyfi Enduro, and includes 9km of built singletrack. The final descent is one of the longest in Wales.
In Summer 2019 Dyfi Bike Park opened offering big mountain trails hand crafted by Dan Atherton deep in the heart of Dyfi Forest. There are 4 black grade trails (3 downhill and a jump line) and 400m of vertical drop. The uplift currently operates on Saturday and Sunday.
