A short route, which weaves its way through the Clwyd Forest at Moel Famau and climbs to a point to enjoy views to the east to Merseyside and beyond. Look out for the spire of Liverpool Cathedral and Blackpool Tower on a clear day. It’s all downhill from here, with a lovely descent back into the forest and back to the starting point.

Start: Coed Moel Famau Car park is located a couple of miles off the A494 between Ruthin and Mold, follow the brown signs for Moel Famau Country Park or use grid reference SJ 173 612
