The 9.5km Derwen trail is a pleasant tour of the Beddgelert forest.
The climbs are steady and the views across Snowdonia National Park make this a worthwhile outing. The route takes in the lake which is a picturesque place to stop.
Take care on the return as some of the hills are quite steep and the road and track surfaces are uneven.
The Snowdonia National Park ‘Lon Gwyrfai’ multi use trail, from Beddgelert to Rhyd Ddu passes through the forest.
The Beddgelert mountain bike trails are managed and maintained by Natural Resources Wales. Follow MTB Ranger on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram for trail updates and drop our rangers a message if you come across any issues on the trail.
